Help us in search for missing Maggie (12)

Gardai are seeking help in finding a 12-year-old girl who has gone missing from the Portrane area of Dublin.

Margaret 'Maggie' McDonagh was first reported missing on Saturday at 6pm but there are reports that she was seen with a friend at Howth Junction yesterday. However, while the friend has been contacted there has yet been no trace of the girl.

Garda sources said the friend who had been with Margaret did come home yesterday saying he had parted company with her at Howth Junction because she was to meet an aunt, but that Margaret herself had not made contact.

Margaret is of slim build, weighs 38 kilos, and is 1.5m in height, with brown shoulder-length hair, blue eyes and a pale complexion. When last seen she was wearing a pink Adidas top with white stripes on the arms, blue Canterbury trousers and black runners.

Anyone with information about Margaret can contact the gardai at Swords Garda Station 01-666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any garda station.
