Hat-trick heroics from dad ... but Robbie Jr's not so easy to please

Claudine Keane looks proud as punch after husband Robbie scores three goals for Ireland on a historic night for the captain.

The 32-year-old Los Angeles Galaxy striker led the Irish team on to the pitch to make a record-breaking 126th appearance, and he made sure that it was one to remember.

The crowd showed their appreciation of Robbie, who is now Ireland's most capped player ever, and Claudine (29), who looked stunning in a white top and jeans, couldn't hide her delight.

However, little Robbie Junior (4) looked less than ecstatic.

As the game neared an end, Claudine tweeted: "Hat trick!!!!!!! Yahoo...."

The crowd went absolutely wild when Robbie scored his third goal, bringing his tally to 59 for his country.

The Ireland skipper did more than win a record number of international caps at the Aviva Stadium; victory over the Faroe Islands also ensured that we got the three World Cup qualification points on offer.

The night was capped off when Keane was announced as the man of the match – and there were no arguments from the fans.
