Greece help

GREECE may be forced to turn to the International Monetary Fund if the upcoming EU summit fails to deliver agreement on an aid plan.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said earlier this week that she would support a move to allow countries to be expelled from the eurozone if necessary.

The Greek prime minister said his country had put forward additional austerity measures in early March and its tough austerity programme could not sustain if the market did not act positively and the country had to borrow money at higher rates to refinance its debt.
