The girlfriend of a man who died following a stabbing incident at a house last week has paid tribute to "the love of her life".
Sharon Kelly thanked the community for their support since the death of her partner Shane Murphy (right).
The 31-year-old died following an incident at a house in the village of Pallasgreen, Co Limerick, last Thursday night.
Ms Kelly also used the opportunity to express her love for the young man who was laid to rest yesterday. "I love you Shane . . . always did . . . always will forever," she wrote of her heartache.
"Thanks to everyone for the calls and texts," she added in a post on social media site Facebook.
"Love you so much Shane. Rest in peace babes."
Mr Murphy was buried yesterday following a private family funeral service at St Mary's Church, Athlunkard, Limerick.
He is survived by his father Liam and his late mother Kathleen and siblings.
Two men have appeared before a court charged in connection with the death of Mr Murphy from Lee Estate, Island Road, Limerick city.
Ger Hogan and Dylan Hayes, were charged on Saturday with assault causing serious harm to Mr Murphy on the night he died.
Hogan (32), with an address at Raheen Square, Ballinacurra Weston, and Hayes (20), of The Crescent, Kilteragh, Dooradoyle, are also charged with producing a knife during the course of assaulting Mr Murphy.
Both men are to appear before the court today at 10.30am.
