Germany tax treaty

Ireland and Germany have signed an updated double taxation treaty in what Minister for Finance Michael Noonan says will be a boost for German investment in Ireland.

The Revised Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital paper was signed by the minister and His Excellency, German Ambassador Busso von Alvensleben in Dublin today.

"Ireland and Germany have long been partners in Europe and partners in the world. The signing of this revised agreement will be a key instrument for strengthening economic relations between Ireland and Germany, the minister said.
