Gardai quiz murder suspect

The chief suspect for the murder of a 41-year-old was arrested last night.

The 37-year-old suspect is being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station where he is being questioned by detectives investigating the killing of Polish national, Bogdan Michalkiawicz, last month in Donegal.

The dead man's brother Tomasz found him at 11am, on May 15, at Westside Apartments in Letterkenny.

STUDENTS KILLED IN BUS PLUNGE

A bus in northern India has rolled nearly 150 metres down a gorge, killing 18 people and injuring 14.

The accident occurred north of New Delhi. Many of the victims were students of local colleges.

India has the world's deadliest roads, with more than 110,000 people killed annually. Most crashes are blamed on reckless driving, poorly maintained roads and aging vehicles.

IS BURIED ALIVE

Villagers in Bolivia's southern highlands buried a teenager alive in the grave of the woman he was suspected of having raped and murdered.

Police had identified Santos Ramos (17) as the possible culprit in the attack on 35-year-old Leandra Arias Janco last Sunday in a Quechua community near the district of Colquechaca.

More than 200 community members seized Ramos and buried him alive alongside his alleged victim.

On Wednesday people in the Quechua indigenous community of Tres Cruces stoned to death a suspected thief and burned his accomplice alive. The two had earlier robbed a car and killed its driver.

MAN SLITS WRISTS AT TV STATION

An emotionally disturbed man is in custody after he slit his wrists outside NBC TV's morning show Today.

Pak Chong-Mar (75) was in the crowd outside the Today studio in Rockefeller Center. Onlookers and police say he was yelling that the government was going to take his house.

The man was taken to a hospital, where his mental condition was being evaluated. His physical injuries were not life-threatening.
