GARDAI said there were "no indications of foul play" after the body of a 25-year-old man was found in the Liffey.
Conal Gildea (25), from Ardara in Co Donegal, went missing while on a night out with friends in the early hours of Saturday.
His body was recovered by garda divers from Grand Canal Dock in Dublin on Monday afternoon.
Officers are appealing for information surrounding his disappearance. He was last seen while socialising with friends at a floating music venue. Mr Gildea (above) had been living in Dublin where he had just finished a plumbing apprenticeship.
Last night, members of Ardara GAA Club – of which Conal was a member – formed a guard of honour as his remains returned home.
