Free heart tests mark first year

HEALTH insurer Laya Healthcare grew its consumer base from 450,000 to over 475,000 members in the first 12 months in operation in Ireland.

The company said that it is on track to create 100 new jobs by 2015, with 58 positions filled in the past year in its Dublin and Cork offices.

Sales at the group have increased by 58pc year-on-year and the corporate health insurance market has grown by 31pc when compared with 2012 figures.

To mark the important milestone of a healthy first year in business, Laya healthcare has also announced that it is to give away €100,000 worth of free cardiac screenings .

The Laya Healthcare Big Screen initiative is open to all types of sports organisations, no matter how big or small, or what level of skill or fitness is involved.
