Firm report trust low

INVESTORS in Ireland and the UK are less trustful of corporate reports since the global financial crisis, research has identified.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) found that more than two-thirds say they are more sceptical and 45pc identified the annual report as being of no use.

"This suggests there is a bigger role for audit to play in rebuilding confidence in company statements," said ACCA's Liz Hughes.
