AN Irish company has prevented thousands of euro worth of metal theft from telecoms providers here and in the UK.
British Telecom reported as much as £2,000 of metal theft a day and metal theft has spread to Ireland with Eircom reporting that 2,500m of its cable, costing approximately €10,000, was stolen in 2011. Irish company Kinesense had helped the telecom provider through forensic CCTV footage analysis.
