THE owner of a Chinese restaurant in Dublin has been fined €250 for hiring staff who did not have valid work permits. Toow Wee Chang, of the New Leaf Chinese Restaurant, High Street, Tallaght, pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to breaking employment rules when he gave casual employment to three people who did not have permission to work.
Mr Chang's lawyer asked the court to note they were casual workers and one had been there for two days when an inspection occurred.
