Film bachelor is now a groom

Vince Vaughn, star of the film Wedding Crashers, has become a groom.

The 39-year-old actor's spokesman said the Couples Retreat and Swingers star (right) wed 31-year-old real estate agent Kyla Weber in a private ceremony in Chicago. He said the nuptials were attended by family and close friends. It is the first marriage for both Weber and Vaughn. Vaughn previously dated Break-Up co-star Jennifer Aniston.

Bray is named cleanest town

Seaside resort Bray has been named Ireland's cleanest town.

Judges praised the Main Street, and the "immaculate" promenade.

But Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) said Bray's near neighbour Wicklow town was a litter blackspot.

Ballinasloe, Co Galway; Tallaght, south Dublin; Letterkenny, Co Donegal; Athlone, Co Westmeath and Mallow, Co Cork, were also rapped for being littered.

Bray was followed by Cavan, Drogheda, Clonmel and Longford in the top five cleanest towns.

9/11 conspirator appeal rejected

A US appeal court upheld the conviction of Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person to stand trial in an American court over the September 11 attacks.

The court in Richmond, Virginia, threw out arguments that Moussaoui was denied access to evidence and the right to choose his own lawyer.

Moussaoui (41) is serving life in prison in Colorado after pleading guilty to helping plan the 2001 attacks.

Bomb threat at Obama speech

A FAKE bomb threat put security officials on red alert at President Barack Obama's inauguration, it has been revealed.

Claims that a Somali terrorist would set off a bomb were taken seriously, said the New York Times.

Defence Secretary Robert Gates was whisked away in case an assassination attempt was successful.
