FFF Dublin band Hot Sprockets are helping top northside music venue The Grand Social mark its fourth birthday with a special concert. The boys are jetting home in between their tour in the US and Canada to join in the celebrations. The gig will take place on Saturday, October 11, at 8pm. FFF It's an institution at Dublin's IFSC and Oktoberfest returns once again for two weeks of beer, music, food and entertainment. Alongside the many surprising foods on offer, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a truly authentic Bavarian-style wheat beer and learn to sing a yodel or dance a polka to traditional Bavarian music. The festival takes place from September 8 to 14 and entry is free.
FFF As part of the Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival, theatre production company Just The Lads will present their second show, At Sea.
The production will draw on a series of personal encounters with dementia to create a uinque performance.
The show will run from September 8 to 13 at The New Theatre on Essex Street in Temple Bar. Tickets are €15 and are available from www.fringefest.com
FFF In the third instalment of the Made It series of talks, the group are looking at businesses that started in the bedroom, living room, kitchen and even balcony to figure out what it takes to be your own boss. A panel discussion will focus on modern entrepreneurship and the resources available to those looking to take the plunge.
