Father texted threat to kill

A DUBLIN man who sent a text message threatening to kill another man claimed he "snapped" after that individual threatened to pipebomb the house where his son lived.

Jason Kelly (27) sent the threatening text, but he also received a number of texts from the same man and did not complain to the gardai.

Judge John Lindsay applied the Probation Act after Kelly told him that the men had settled their differences.

Kelly, of Coultry Drive in Ballymun, admitted before Blanchardstown District Court to making a threat to kill or cause serious harm to another man at Rathvilly Park in Finglas on May 16 last year.

Police say the campers survived by rationing their meagre supplies of trail mix and warming themselves in hot springs.

Alec Brown and Erica Klintworth , from Wisconsin, met up with members of a search team yesterday.
