Fashion designers put their stamp on An Post project

IRISH fashionistas no longer have to spend a fortune to own the latest designer accessory thanks to An Post.

An Post's latest creation is a series of fashion stamps, which was created in collaboration with top Irish and international designers Paul Costelloe, Louise Kennedy, Lainey Keogh, Orla Kiely, John Rocha and Philip Treacy.

Irish graphic artist Ger Garland designed the six stamps to exhibit each fashion icon's current or recent work.

"As an Irishman, having your name on a stamp is one of the greatest honours to be bestowed on anyone," Paul Costelloe said.

"This stamp series reflects the future of a new Ireland invoking its heritage of fashion flair and its new youthful energy," he added.

An Post believes that its co-operation with the fashion world is consistent with its service.

"Fashion is consistently the most popular category for visitors to An Post's own online shopping directory at www.anpost.ie/onlineshopping with more than 70pc of browsers and shoppers searching out the latest styles in Irish and international labels," a spokesperson said.
