HOLLYWOOD actor Gabriel Byrne celebrated his Cork nuptials with a trip to a local bookshop, the Herald can reveal.
Snubbing the usual raucous bashes favoured by top celebrities, the tee-total star instead made a bee-line to a bookstore in Midleton.
The Walkinstown native tied the knot on Monday after some surprise nuptials to long-term partner Hannah Beth King at the luxurious Ballymaloe House in Cork.

They were joined by just a few immediate family members and some close friends.
A statement from his agent said: "I can confirm that Gabriel married Hannah Beth King in a small private ceremony at Ballymaloe on August 4."
The couple arrived in Ballymaloe on Friday and maintained a low profile until their wedding at a strictly private ceremony 48 hours later.
The Allen family, who own Ballymaloe, stressed that it is their policy not to comment on their guests.
However, Hazel Allen admitted that it was "a fabulous occasion".
Guests were treated to a special wedding menu including east Cork lamb, Ballycotton shellfish and vegetarian platters from the Allen kitchen.
The actor and his new wife also enjoyed a quiet afternoon stroll around the gardens to relax during the festivities.
And the non-drinker paid a trip to Midleton Books after his nuptials.
The top actor, previously married to actress Ellen Barkin, also spent some time in Ballymaloe last summer.
He and his stunning new wife have been down in Cork since last weekend and are expected to honeymoon there.
His other half works as a television producer and they took some time to enjoy the sunshine in Dublin two weeks ago.
In December 2012, the actor described King was "lovely, intelligent and beautiful, absolutely beautiful."

Independent councillor Mannix Flynn, who has known Byrne for 40 years said: "These are two people who are deeply committed to each other, and are going to share many years in each others company."
