Evelyn (87) proves she's one in a million...

A company assisting people with reduced mobility at Dublin Airport celebrated helping its one millionth passenger yesterday.

OCS One Complete Solution Ltd not only provided Evelyn Graney (87) with a courtesy wheelchair, but held a welcoming reception at which she was the guest of honour.

A native of Rathfarnham, Evelyn has lived in Middlesex in England for several years. She was travelling to Dublin to spend Christmas with her son, Billy Dunne and family, including granddaughter Stephanie, who was there to greet her.

Also greeting her were Aine Mulcahy, OCS's managing director and Derek Murphy, OCS airport services manager, representatives from Dublin Airport Authority and Aer Lingus as well as Jimmy Gradwell, president of Paralympics Ireland, which OCS proudly sponsors.

"Our goal is to ensure all passengers with reduced mobility a stress and hassle free transit experience through the airport," said Ms Mulcahy.

Cork senior hurling manager Jimmy Barry Murphy presented gifts to Evelyn (above).

He said many people are not fully aware of the services available for people whose mobility is lessened by age.

Those needing assistance need have no apprehension about travelling, he said.
