Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad has closed a deal to buy a 24pc stake in India's Jet Airways. Etihad CEO James Hogan said India is a "key part" of its growth strategy.
Etihad also owns almost 3pc of Aer Lingus. Etihad spent $349m (€258m) on the Jet Airways stake. Etihad has placed a $25bn (€19bn) order for 56 Boeing aircraft.
