Consulting and accounting group Ernst & Young plans to hire more than 300 workers throughout the country over the next 18 months.
The company says the move is a response to new business opportunities and in anticipation of the start of an economic recovery in Ireland.
Ernst & Young already employs 1,100 people and says the new jobs will range from graduate positions to qualified accountants and senior executives. Some 150 graduates will be recruited to start next year, with another 100 new jobs planned for its advisory business.
The firm says there has been "rapid growth" in the number of companies seeking advice on reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Recruitment will take place at their offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Belfast.
