Enda tours US on trade drive

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has arrived in the United States for a trip designed to boost Ireland's economy.

MR KENNY is spending the two days in Philadelphia and Cleveland, where he is telling international business people and investors that Ireland remains open for business.

Mr Kenny was addressing the Brehon Law Society Symposium in Philadelphia.

He was expected to tell the gathering how Ireland has become more competitive and represents an excellent investment opportunity for US companies.

A number of other political and business engagements in the city have been lined up for the Taoiseach before he travels to Cleveland later today.
