Emma Jane's business model proving a US hit

IT IS the dream of most Irish models to crack the States and make waves on the catwalk. Model turned businesswoman Emma Jane Power, however, is celebrating US success in a different way.

The 32-year-old is over the moon after her new media company secured the services of US network giants CNN and Bloomberg.

Emma Jane set up PR Files two years ago upon deciding that she wanted to create something that would last beyond her modelling career.

She has since received €500k investment, the backing of several Irish businesses and has joined forces with media guru Niall Harbison.


"When I first started it was about growing the business organically, but I was surprised by how many people approached me about the company so I soon realised that with more investment we could make it really profitable," Emma Jane told the Herald.

The online media hub acts as a marketing tool for fashion, beauty and gifts and allows journalists to use their image library and press releases for free.

Over 800 images from PR Slides are currently being used each month, resulting in lots of coverage for their clients. As well as international clients, PR Slides is also growing quickly at home with clients like Dyson, Harvey Nichols and Harvey Norman all on their books.

Emma Jane, who can currently be seen on the River Rock ad, still models occasionally, but said that her main concern is to concentrate on her business.
