BOXING champ Kenneth Egan (32) was slated for his crimes against fashion during the 2012 London Olympics.

But Fine Gael's local election hopeful has now been given the nod in Ireland's fashion Oscars, the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards.

His colourful jackets, clashing ties and fondness for 'double denim' became something of a talking point during his stint as an RTE panellist during its Olympic coverage.

Now he'll be hoping to box clever when it comes to the competition as he steps into the fashion ring with some immaculately turned-out males.

He'll be going up against RTE news-reader and Celebrity Masterchef contestant Aengus Mac Grianna, who hit the headlines after being filmed putting on make-up on live TV.

Always a hotly-contested event, first-time nominees for the Most Stylish Woman include Brian McFadden's other half, Vogue Williams (below).

The model, who's now based in the UK with the former Westlife star, is due to attend the bash with her other half.

Also in the running for the main award is The Apprentice star and model Daniella Moyles, who was previously nominated in the Most Stylish Newcomer award.

Taking place in the Marker Hotel on April 25, 240 of Ireland's most glamorous people have been invited to attend.

However, publisher Michael O'Doherty has revealed how it will be something of a nail-biting occasion for him, given that it's now in its 13th year running.

"Something is bound to go badly wrong. My guess is that I go too far in the speech again and finally get beaten up," he joked.
