Public Expenditure Minister Brendan Howlin has said half the total money raised by the sale of State assets will be used for job creation.

Mr Howlin (pictured right) added that the other half will be used to raise funds for other stimulus projects.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said a detailed list of the assets for potential sale would be brought forward by mid-summer.

Mr Howlin said he had proposed all of the money would be used, one way or another, to leverage immediate stimulus into the Irish economy.
