Easily-led teenager was caught with knife

A TEENAGER caught with a knife in a housing estate is "easily led", a court heard.

Kyle Holt (18) was ordered to donate €100 to charity and Judge John Coughlan said he would leave him without a conviction

The defendant, with an address at Knockmore Park, Tallaght, admitted before Tallaght District Court to possession of a knife with a pointed blade.

The incident took place at Killinarden estate in Tallaght last October 16.

The court heard the defendant has never been in trouble before.

Defence solicitor Michael Hennessy said that Holt is a young man who is very gullible and easily-led.

Mr Hennessy said the defendant is not working, but does odd jobs such as cutting grass.
