Dubs heroes jet out to US for fun in sun

DUBLIN'S heroic football champions travelled to Florida today for a well-earned post-All Ireland blowout in the sun.

Pat Gilroy and his boys in blue flew in style to America's sunshine state - and the glamorous Dublin GAA WAGs were brought along as well.

The flights were courtesy of Aer Lingus, who today announced that it will be the official airline partner of Dublin GAA over the next three years.

The trip will prove particularly sweet for team boss Pat Gilroy - who earlier this month pledged his short-term future to the All Ireland champions.

The players and their families were in fine form as they gathered at Terminal Two today prior to their flight.

With the WAGs in tow, the players will be expected to be on their best behaviour as they soak up all Florida has to offer.

A spokesperson for Aer Lingus told the Herald: "The team is travelling to Florida for a well-earned post season holiday.

"We just signed a new three-year deal with the county board which Aer Lingus is very proud of." The spokesperson added: "In return for official travel, the Dublin squad will take part in promotional events with our airline. "It's a great honour to be associated with Dublin GAA given their tremendous success."
