Dubliner Sarah Bolger has been cast in a new martial arts style TV series in the US.
The Once Upon A Time actress will now go from playing Sleeping Beauty to a martial arts warrior in Badlands.
The AMC drama is loosely based on Journey to the West - a Chinese tale.
It follows a great warrior and a young boy who go on a journey in a dangerous land controlled by feudal barons, seeking enlightenment.
Bolger will play Jade, a beautiful woman with serious ambition, which she masks with her innocence. Also cast as regulars in the six-part pilot are Emily Beecham and Oliver Stark.
Emily is known for her role as Caro in the BBC drama The Village opposite Charlie Murphy and Stark is an up and coming actor.
Rathfarnham native Sarah - who rose to fame with Jim Sheridan's In America - recently landed a part as a musical prima donna in a World War One drama called It's Showtime, Siberia. The film will also star French actor Gerard Depardieu and has a whopper budget of €12m.
Next year is set to be busy year for the 23-year-old as she has a number of movies including Lazarus up for release. She stars opposite Olivia Wilde, Evan Peters and Mark Duplass in the creepy thriller where medical students learn how to bring patients back to life.
Bolger also stars in My All American with The Dark Knight star Aaron Eckhart which tells the story of Freddie Steinmark, a star of college American Football who was diagnosed with cancer. Sarah plays Steinmark's high school sweetheart.
