Discount retailer Lidl has opened a new store in Santry, creating 42 new jobs. Pictured here is Dublin footballer Ger Brennan taking a turn behind the till.
The new store, located in the Omni Centre on the Swords Road, boasts a new look design and baking facilities that will produce bread throughout the whole day.
To celebrate the opening, Lidl has launched special offers on both food and non-food products, including 25pc off fruit and vegetables.
It will also host in-store sampling of a range of breakfast, lunch and dinner ideas and a visit from the star of RTE's Taste of Success, Paul Flynn.
"We are really excited to be opening our brand new Santry store just in time for Christmas. We have some fantastic offers on food and non-food products over the next couple of weeks and are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the store," said Stephen Elliott, Lidl Sales Operations Executive for the new Santry store, pictured above with Ger Brennan.
"We're also delighted to be creating 42 new jobs, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to creating local employment and providing the Irish public with top quality products at the most competitive prices."
Lidl now has 143 stores in Ireland and employs almost 4,000 people here.
