Horrid Henry to be film star

Cheeky children's character Horrid Henry is to become a movie star with a big screen adaptation, it was announced today.

The young rascal has already starred in a series of best-selling books as well as a hit ITV1 series.

Now Henry's adventures are to be brought to life by the team behind Street Dance 3D and a director whose work has included Love Actually and Nanny McPhee.

Movie-makers have begun their search for a young star to play Henry and his friends for the live action 3D film.
