Drugs case delay over certificate of analysis

THE State has been given more time to produce a certificate of analysis following the seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine.

Alan Brennan (33) was allegedly found with the drug after gardai raided his home in west Dublin.

Judge David McHugh adjourned the matter for 10 weeks for DPP's directions on the charges.

The accused, of Dromheath Grove in Mulhuddart, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with possession of crack cocaine and cannabis resin for sale or supply.

The offences, contrary to the misuse of drugs act, allegedly took place at his home on February 13.

Defence solicitor Simon Fleming said there was consent to a long remand for the certificate of analysis.
