Drugs and stun gun trial set

A DUBLIN man allegedly caught with cocaine and a stun gun after his home was raided by gardai has been sent forward for trial.

Brian Rigney (33) was allegedly caught with drugs, including cocaine, cannabis and heroin, with a value of €3,000.

He is facing trial by judge and jury in the Circuit Court after the DPP ruled the matters were too serious for the District Court.

The defendant appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with simple possession of heroin, cocaine and cannabis resin. He is also charged with possession of cocaine for sale or supply.

Rigney is also charged with the illegal possession of a stun gun after his home at Cherryfield View in Hartstown was raided by gardai on August 12 last year.
