Yvonne Connolly has hinted that boys are easier to raise than girls.

The former model is mum to Jack (17), Missy (15) and Ali (10) with former husband Ronan Keating.

While remaining coy, the Kildare native (42) hinted that she has found one gender a little easier than the other.

"I don't know if I should answer that, I'll get in trouble," she told the Herald.

"The girls would kill me. That is a bit of a giveaway."

Sisters Missy and Ali have already caught the showbiz bug and followed their famous parents into the entertainment industry.

Missy, who completed her junior cert exams earlier this year, has appeared in films Dark Touch and The Library, while Ali recently landed a small role in a Sky Arts production with Hollywood A-lister Idris Elba.

Meanwhile, Jack recently completed transition year and it looks like he might be the next member of the family to enter the spotlight.

The teen recently did work experience alongside radio host Ian Dempsey and Yvonne revealed he's now eyeing up a future career on the airwaves.

"The ones you think will (get into showbiz) sometimes don't ... and the ones like Jack, who I think never will, he worked with Ian Dempsey on the Breakfast Show for work experience," she said.

"He has no interest in performing but as soon as he did that he was like, 'Oh my god, I want to be Ian Dempsey'."

The family recently took a trip to Los Angeles ahead of the former Assets model's red carpet appearance at the Emmys next month, alongside her partner, cinematographer John Conroy who is up for a gong for his work on TV cop show Luther.

She will be returning to California for the awards ceremony on September 18 which will bring out some of Hollywood's finest.

The mum-of-three has vowed to wear an Irish designer for the star-studded bash.

Yvonne is kept busy with her regular segments on The Seven O'Clock Show and her cooking career. The TV star revealed she may consider penning a book in the future.
