Domhnall and Michael join cast for Frank's New York premiere

Dublin's own Domhnall Gleeson cut a dash on the red carpet in New York last night for the VIP premiere of new movie Frank.

And Star Wars actor Domhnall was joined at the bash by his fellow Irishman Michael Fassbender, who also stars in the movie by Irish director Lenny Abrahamson.

Their co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal looked stunning in a white maxi-dress as she turned on the glamour for the gala at the Sunshine Landmark theatre.

Frank centres around a young wannabe-musician called Jon, who joins a pop band led by the mysterious Frank, played by Fassbender.

The film got rave reviews when it premiered in Dublin a few months ago.

Gyllenhaal moved to Wicklow in February 2013 while filming Frank, and lived there for several months with husband Peter Sarsgaard and their two young children Ramona and Gloria.

The star has also teamed up with another Irishman for her next role.

She'll co-star alongside Stephen Rea for BBC Two's new thriller The Honourable Woman.
