Ding praises Cuba move

Irish mobile services firm Ding has welcomed the news that US president Barack Obama is to normalise diplomatic and economic ties with Cuba.

Chief executive Mark Roden said it would greatly benefit the company's customers and partners in Cuba.

"We've seen first-hand how mobile top-up can improve the daily lives of people across the country from being able to stay in touch with their loved ones, bring more productive in business and having access to a wealth of information," Mr Roden said.
