Dimwit raid pair released

TWO dimwitted criminals have been released from custody -- after robbing an empty cash box in Dublin's most policed area.

The pair were arrested after the hamfisted raid on the AIB bank on Annesley Bridge Road in the north inner city two days ago. Unmasked and with no getaway car, the men swiped the box from security staff and attempted to flee.

But the suspects were located by detectives within minutes and arrested. They were questioned for a day and released last night.

"These guys are obviously not the brightest," said a garda source.

"They could go down as Dublin's dumbest criminals to be honest."
