Deportation mum's legal bill victory

NIGERIAN mother Pamela Izevbekhai will not have the pay the legal costs of her failed final bid in the Irish courts to prevent her deportation.

The Supreme Court today made no order as to costs for the case meaning the State and Ms Izevbekhai will have to pay their own costs of the latest appeal last week.

However, a previous High Court costs order made against her still stands, the court heard.

Ms Izevbekhai claims her two daughters, Naomi (9) and Jemima (8), face genital mutilation if deported to Nigeria, and may appeal the matter to the European Court of Human Rights.
