Delay for Greece aid

THE NEXT bailout for Greece will not be distributed until mid-November, the head of the Eurozone finance ministers' group, Jean Claude Juncker (right) said.

However, Mr Juncker stressed that Athens could fund itself from its "own resources" in the meantime.

Greece now expects its 2011 deficit to be 8.5pc of gross domestic product.

This is against the 7.6pc target set down in its €110bn rescue programme, which was agreed with the European Union, the European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund.
