DCC invests in France

DCC Energy is to buy a network of nearly 400 Esso-branded petrol stations in France for €106m.

According to the Dublin-based conglomerate, the French business will have annual revenues of about €2.2bn, dealing with 1.9bn litres of fuel per annum.

The majority of the stations are unmanned Esso Express filling stations. In Ireland, the energy division of DCC operates the Emo network and it bought the Qstar stations in Sweden earlier this year. The deal will boost DCC profits immediately.
