It regularly attracts the biggest number of people nationwide, and Saturday was no different when 465 people took part in the Marlay Park parkrun.
The 5km run in Rathfarnham saw fathers out in force for some quality time with their daughters.
Among those running were Ian Campbell (38), from Terenure, with his wife Elaine and their 18-month-old daughter Nicola.
The race was Ian's 51st after he started taking part two years ago, but Saturday marked the first time he had taken Nicola along.
"That was the first time I ran with her - I pushed the pram around," he said. "Normally I'm on my own doing it.
Ian said the day was "good craic", and 18-month-old Nicola made new friends along the way.
"She was chatting to everyone as we made out way around," he said.
"I took it handy enough with her, so we weren't flat out.
"We waited and let the crowd go at the start and went at our own pace."
Aidan Conroy (52) was out running with his 13-year-old daughter Maeve.
Aidan, who has just completed his 50th race, took up running as a hobby 18 months ago with Maeve.
"It was abs- olutely a new start, I had never run before," he said.
"My daughter had expressed an interest in running so I started doing it with her, and the two of us have been doing it ever since."
