Dad made threat to kill gardai

A FATHER-of-three threatened to kill gardai after they investigated a drunken disturbance he caused after a Christening party.

Noel Enright (38) had been at his niece's Christening before the incident in south Dublin.

Judge William Early adjourned the case after hearing the accused was under a suspended sentence at the time.

Enright, of Raleigh Street, Crumlin, pleaded guilty to charges of public intoxication and causing a breach of the peace at the Old County Road in Crumlin.

Dublin District Court heard gardai were called to the premises, where the accused was banging on the door and demanding entry.

When gardai spoke to them, he became verbally abusive, calling one of them "a p***k and other obscenities". He also said he was going to kill them. He was then arrested.

The court heard he had six previous convictions.
