Dad jailed for €1m drug stash

A FATHER, who stored €1.3m worth of drugs for a crime gang he feared would kill his wife and children, has been jailed for eight years.

Trevor Williamson (46) was jailed after a Circuit Court judge heard that he had refused to co-operate with gardai after his arrest.

He pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis resin at two locations on Boreenamanna Road in Cork on September 28, 2012.

The court heard that he was terrified his wife and children would he shot by the gang.

He was arrested after a garda surveillance operation.

Police have arrested a male Disneyland employee in California on suspicion of placing a so-called dry ice bomb in a trash can at the theme park.

Police say a small explosion in Mickey's Toontown was caused by dry ice placed inside a bottle and left in a trash can. No one was injured.
