D2 Georgian house yours for €560k

THIS impressive building in a prime Dublin city centre spot is the star attraction at the bumper distressed property auction taking place this Friday.

The fire sale of homes and offices at the Allsop Space auction at the Shelbourne Hotel is the biggest such event to take place.

International investors and cash-buyers are expected to dominate proceedings when a wide selection of 155 properties go up for grabs.

The Georgian terrace on Herbert Street, located near Pepper Canister Church, is the second most valuable property, eclipsed only in price by a prominent 1.9-acre site in Santry.

The historical house is under a reserve price of €560,000 – a snip for the exclusive location.

The 344sqm building had been in offices but with some minor refurbishment, it would be ideally transformed into a family home.

Outside the city centre location – office space is going for a bargain in Sandyford.

A suite on the ground floor at the Beacon Court in Dublin 18 is for sale with a €100,000.

Meanwhile, a two-bedroom apartment, 11 St Stephen's, Leeson Lane, Dublin 2, near the corner of St Stephen's Green and Leeson Street, has a €190,000 guide price.

Included in the Dublin shops is a unit on Rathgar Avenue, Dublin 6, with a €30,000 guide and, a convenience store at 121 Capel Street, Dublin 1, with a €500,000 guide.

But for serious investors, an entire housing estate in Cavan might pique their interest.

A total of nine houses and a number of part build homes are up for grabs for €50,000 in total.

Another Dublin property of interest is 11-bedroom Beechbrook Lodge in Rathcool – priced at €150,000.
