Cyprus aid fears ease
THE EUROPEAN Commission insists there are no talks under way for a Cyprus aid plan.
It said the Cypriot economy is "fundamentally healthy" even after a downgrade by ratings agency Fitch, which predicted that the island was heading for an EU bailout.
"There is no aid plan being discussed at any level," spokeswoman Chantal Hughes said.
