designer Louise Kennedy's move into bridal wear has won over some of the country's toughest fashion critics -- and they haven't even seen her new debut collection yet. The respected Tipperary clothing and crystal designer will unveil her first 20 wedding dress designs this month.

And the bespoke line, which offers a range of styles and range in price from €3,000 to €10,000, is being given a warm welcome by fashion insiders.
Designer Peter O'Brien told the Herald: "I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure it's wonderful.
"It makes perfect sense for her to design bridal wear. Weddings are times, even in a recession, where people are willing to spend that bit more money."
And Peter said his expectations for the collection are high.
"Louise has really nice taste so I think it will be beautiful and unique, there will be nothing vulgar about it at all.
"Whoever gets to wear it will be very lucky."
The collection is housed in the new bridal room at Kennedy's boutique on Merrion Square in Dublin 2. A spokes-person said: "There is already great interest in the collection.
"There are about 20 bespoke pieces that can be slightly changed to suit the individual bride.
"They are available in any size and made to measure.
"We are very pleased with bookings and we've already had brides reusing their dresses after their weddings."
The collection was originally due to hit rails last year but various delays mean it will only officially be launched this month.
Kennedy said her move into bridal design was a "natural progression for the brand", which had already established a strong following from mothers-of-the-bride.
