IRISH National Youth Ballet dancers have been putting the final touches to their performance.

The troupe, aged from 10 upwards, have spent months in rehearsal for their performance of The Sleeping Beauty, Oklahoma and Princess Iolanthe.

Showcasing the country's best ballet talent, the dancers will be accompanied by a full orchestra.

The Sleeping Beauty Suite, under choreographer Kilian O'Callaghan, is a combination of dances from the ballet.

For Oklahoma, set in the early 1900s, Sarah Thornton has put together a short story depicting all the elements of the musical which tells the story of two pairs of lovers.

Princess Iolanthe is choreographed by Stephen Brennan, with music composed by Ukrainian composer All Pavalova, which will have its world premiere at the performance. The shows run in the Civic Theatre from May 9-11.
