Woman is accused of robbing wristwatch

A DUBLIN woman accused of robbing a barber's wristwatch has been sent forward for trial.

Kelly Ann Jennings (32) and an accomplice are alleged to have entered the barber's shop and robbed him of €50 in cash and his wristwatch.

The defendant, with addresses at Clifton Park and Bentley House, both in Dun Laoghaire, appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court charged with robbery.

The alleged incident took place at Jim's Barber Shop, Patrick Street in Dun Laoghaire on September 17, 2010.

The court previously heard the DPP had directed trial on indictment in relation to the charge.

The State solicitor said the book of evidence had been served on Jennings, who goes forward to the present sittings of Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Judge Ann Ryan remanded Jennings on bail in her own bond of €200.

The judge also gave the defendant the alibi caution, warning her she had 14 days to provide to the State the details of anyone she proposes calling as a witness in her defence.
