Woman faces fast food row charge

A YOUNG woman has denied committing affray during an argument in a fast food restaurant where her partner was assaulted.

Roisin Rice (24) allegedly got into a verbal argument with another individual, and pushed him during the incident.

Judge William Hamill adjourned the matter to a date in January.

The accused, of Kiltalown Avenue in Tallaght, appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court charged with affray at George's Street Upper in Dun Laoghaire on March 10 last year.

Garda Sergeant Peadar McCann claimed that man verbally abused them and Rice pushed him, and he then punched her.

The sergeant claimed Rice's partner then got involved, and he too was hit by the other man.
