Trio accused of Coleen plot

THREE people will appear in court in the UK today charged over an alleged plot to blackmail Coleen Rooney.

Lee Platt (28) Jennifer Green (25) and Steven Malcolm (42) will appear at Manchester Crown Court accused of blackmail and handling stolen goods.

The three were arrested after the wife of Manchester United and England star Wayne lost her mobile phone at a concert at the MEN arena

The phone is thought to contain family snaps of the couple's son Kai.

Shark victim's funeral service

THE widow of honeymoon shark attack victim Ian Redmond will today attend the funeral of her husband at the same church where they wed just over three weeks ago.

Gemma Redmond (27) will accompany the coffin on his final journey, supported by family and friends for the funeral service at St Michael's Church in Dalton, Lancashire.

She has written a special farewell to her husband which she plans to read during the service.

Grandma hurt on log flume

HEALTH and safety officials are investigating after a grandma and granddaughter suffered serious injuries on a fairground ride.

The 58-year-old woman and the four-year-old girl were flipped from the Jungle River log flume on the seafront in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, on Sunday.

Medics airlifted the woman to hospital following the incident, which is believed have occurred when the log flume jammed.
