Thief stuffed CDs in jumper

A judge ordered a probation report and adjourned sentencing to a date in September, telling Dooley that she will benefit from the help of the probation service.

Dooley, of Deerpark Lodge in Tallaght, admitted before Tallaght District Court to stealing five CDs, worth €83. on April 7 last year.

'Danger' teen goes missing

GARDAI have been ordered to find a 14-year-old boy with a history of violence and inappropriate sexual behaviour after he went missing yesterday from health board accommodation.

Mr Justice George Birmingham ordered he then be detained at a secure facility.

The teen has been in more than a dozen placements in both Ireland and the UK but none so far have met his needs, a social worker told the High Court.

In an incident at one such placement facility, he locked a female member of staff in a room, put a rope around her neck and threatened to rape her in an hour-long ordeal.

In another incident, he glassed a member of staff in an effort to leave a facility.

The court heard the boy suffered trauma as a result of being sexually and physically abused at a young age.
