Telesales man (55) calls garda 'honey'

A TELESALES worker was arrested after using "mild sexual references" to gardai in a drunken episode, calling them "honey" and "boy", a court heard.

Paul Horan (55), a widower described as a "reserved man", had been drinking on an empty stomach while waiting to meet a friend in a Dublin pub at the time.

He was ordered to carry out 150 hours' community service and fined €350.

Horan, with an address at St John's Crescent, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour as well as public intoxication at Sarsfield Road, Ballyfermot on January 22, 2013.

Horan assured the court there would be no repetition.
