Teens deny burglary and knifing homeowner

THREE teenagers have denied taking part in a burglary where a man was allegedly beaten and stabbed after his front door was forced open.

Two boys, aged 17, have been charged at the Children's Court with burglary while in possession of knives, at a house in north Dublin, on the night of December 17.

The third boy (16) is charged with having a pick axe handle during the alleged burglary.

Judge Patrick Brady adjourned the case for mention next month when a date for their hearing is to be set.

The court had heard earlier that vehicles at the complainant's home had been vandalised and three people broke into his house and assaulted him. One of the boys has also been charged with witness intimidation in connection with the burglary.
